The Story? Project

The Story? Project is a three-part programme with three goals: we help participants to think reflectively, work creatively, and ask that vital question: what’s my story?

Myself and Kate Kerrigan, bestselling author and storyteller par excellence

Story? is a collaboration between myself and Kate Kerrigan, the internationally acclaimed author. It is our belief that storytelling is an important skill not just for writing, but for life. Not just for writers, but for everyone. Being able to see the stories in our lives and express them is vital. This programme aims to give participants the tools to do this.

Over a number of hands-on workshops, participants go through the process of reflecting on and recording details of their own lives. There are exercises and guided tasks to help them do this.

Their stories are then collated into book format. This book will be available for the participants to sell.

Finally, the work is displayed in a space where the community are invited to come and appreciate it, with copies of the book available for sale, and performances of the work for all to enjoy.

You can find information and acclaim for previous projects herehere and here.

The Story? Project is available to schools, men’s sheds and other community organisations. If you’d like to participate, send an email to lukepowerwrites[at]gmail.com.
